Lukáš Timulak works in the fields of performing arts and film. Lukáš studied at the Dance Conservatory in Bratislava and the Academie de Danse Classique Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo. As a dancer he has worked with Les Ballets de Monte Carlo and at the Nederlands Dans Theater where he worked with choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Wiliam Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, Hans van Mannen, Lightfoot/Leon, Crystal Pite, J.Ch.Maillot, Johan Inger, Wayne McGregor among many others. He has choreographed for several companies around the world including Nederlands Dans Theater, Gothenburg Ballet, Balé da Cidade de São Paulo, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Tanz Luzerner Theater, National Theatre Brno, Royal Swedish Ballet, Staatsballett Hannover to name few. His interest in cinematography led him to intensive study at New York Film Academy, which strengthened his skills as an editor and director for short films & documentaries. He has collaborated on dance films with director Ruben van Leer including award winning dance-opera film ‘Symmetry’ shot inside CERN, the largest experimental particle physics facility in the world. He has collaborated with designer Peter Bilak since 2004 to explore new concepts for contemporary dance. In 2017 they started the Make Move Think foundation for interdisciplinary artistic collaboration.
